What a year we are all having! It sure was unexpected! While we may be feeling ‘can’t wait until this is all over’, where do we put our hope in for this coming season and next year?
This is a message I talked at Wellington Central Baptist Church for the first advent Sunday, on ‘Hope’.

Synopsis:
- Reflection on hope and cynicism: Though it may seem more ‘grown up’ to be cynical, we are called to walk on the ridgeline that ask us to lament but not despair or become bitter.
- Ponder the Road to Emmaus and how that informs us of hope: Jesus want to have an honest dialogue with us about difficult things, he also want to be invited and hosted by us.
- Where is our hope? God look at us with hope.
May we look to ourselves, to the Church and to the world with eyes of hope.
