About me

About me

I am passionate about creating space for people to connect with God.

I love helping people find a pathway to authentic prayer. One that is meaningful to each person. I love seeing God transform us where it matters most!

I love using creativity in many aspect of my work and life, and I experienced first hand of how arts can be a bridge toward deep honesty and healing. I have a special interest in wanting to bring the arts to corporate with our prayer practice.

Another passion of mine is to bring contemplative practices back to youth ministry. Never have there been such a pressing need for us to create spaces for young people to develop a habit of listening to God. I love seeing young people discover different ways to pray and being with God.

I have worked in a wide range of ministry contexts. I have been a youth pastor, church planter, overseas worker, preacher, and mentor. I felt fortunate to be able to see God at work in these different places.

As well as theology training at Carey Baptist College for two years, I am also a trained Spiritual Director via the two year formation course with Spiritual Growth Ministries. I undertake professional spiritual direction supervision and have my own spiritual director. Here is a recent article about my practice.

I have completed training in understanding dreams (technically known as Dreamwork) and Interactive Drawing Therapy. I am a member of the Association of Christian Spiritual Directors in New Zealand, and part of the SGM Wellington working group.

As well as being a wife and mother, I work as a graphic designer. I am also an associate Chaplain at Massey University in Wellington.

In my spare time I enjoy making and sharing food with friends, crocheting random things, taking walks with my dog and board games.
