Here is a discipline I benefit from each day – Centering prayer. One of the hardest thing to do for someone like me, yet bear the most fruit. I am being called to return, one hundred times, a thousand times a day, to return to God. It starts, always, like an uphill track, but promises a still, peaceful view at the hill top at the end of the 25 minutes.
I may yet to write more about it, but in the mean time, I’ve found this video for those who might find it helpful. It’s from a blog by Carl McColman. It tells briefly the history, practice and background of Centering prayer.
