Looking for a way to re-center yourself and let God renew you?
Here are what is happening in 2025 from what I offer:
Quiet days, April 4-5th – Wonder as i Wander: The landscape of our Lives
How is your soul doing? We will reflect where we have been and we are in life through reading Psalm and bringing them all to God through art.
This is a day and a half of creative exercises, prayer, reflecting on scripture, art making and meditation. A short non-residential retreat that allows longer time for art making processes.
We will be using mixed media, found objects, as well as paint and texture mediums. Mainly in abstract forms. You don’t need to be experienced art maker, just need to be willing to allow the process of making art a dialogue between you and God.
We will pause for some reflections from the Psalms, but there will be plenty of time for you to make art about whatever is on your mind, or simply go for a walk by the beach. There will be some guidance if you need it and you don’t need to share your art with anyone but God.
St Andrews is 2 minutes walk from the beach, with a small garden and a chapel hall. You are free to wander pray and reflect in the way that is most helpful to you for the two day mini art retreat.
April 4th Friday evening 6-9pm
5th Saturday 10am-4pm
St Andrew, Plimmerton
$40 unwaged, $80 waged
(Plus $10 if you would like to work on a canvas instead of thick paper.)
If you can only make Friday or Saturday but not the whole two days you are still welcome to join us, though please note that there will be element of the two days that are related or continuation of the theme.
